Privacy

We can't read your family's messages.

That's not just a promise. It's how the system is built: messages are end-to-end encrypted, locked on one family phone and only unlocked on another. The one exception is yours to make: if you choose to share the messages you review, to help improve the screening, we can read the ones you share, with phone numbers and email addresses removed.

Encrypted before it leaves the phone.
  • Your child's messages, contacts, locations and browsing history, your alerts and your settings are encrypted with a key that only your family's phones hold. Our server passes the encrypted package along and can't open it.
  • Messages are checked for things that need a parent on your child's phone, not on our servers.
  • Places report arriving and leaving. We keep no trail of where your child has been.

What our server can see

Carrying sealed packages still means seeing some things about the delivery. We'd rather tell you exactly what than call the list empty.

What stays with your family

Message content

No readable message content, no contact names and no phone numbers reach our sync server.

Your keys

The keys that unlock your family's messages never leave the phones that made them.

Your child's trust

Nothing is hidden. Your child's phone says it's supervised.

This website keeps an ordinary visitor log: the internet address each visit came from, the page asked for, and the time. Nothing on this site tracks you across other sites. If you ask us to tell you when Paired Parent is available, we keep the email address you give us so that we can, and whether you offered to help test it before launch. The photographs are illustrations, not photographs of real families.
