No. Setup makes Paired Parent part of how the phone is managed, so it isn't an app in the list your child can uninstall. It also can't be force-stopped or have its data cleared, the phone can't be reset from Settings, and it can't be started in safe mode. The usual workarounds don't work here.
This is why setup uses a computer and a cable rather than an app store download.
What your child can still do: turn the phone off, or switch on airplane mode. Neither is blocked, and neither is treated as suspicious. Changes and alerts simply wait until the phone is back, and your app tells you if it hasn't been heard from for twenty minutes.
A phone can also still be wiped completely from its recovery menu, the same as any Android phone. We say so because it is true, and a page that claimed otherwise would be wrong.

Paired Parent is for a parent or legal guardian supervising a phone they provide to their own child. Every feature described here is enforced by the software on the child's phone; where a feature has limits, the page says so.
This site keeps a visitor log: the internet address the visit came from, the page asked for, and the time. Nothing on this site tracks you across other sites. What else we keep, and why, is on the Privacy page. The photographs on this site are illustrations, not photographs of real families.
